Growing old with your own teeth
Think about caring for the spaces between your teeth early on!
Did you know that the spaces between your teeth make up around a third of the tooth surface? Where the toothbrush can only reach with difficulty or not at all, caries bacteria find the best conditions to multiply. Depending on the appearance, food particles and bacterial plaque can settle in the spaces between your teeth. The consequences are tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath. Cleaning the spaces between your teeth is an essential part of a comprehensive dental care strategy that also takes tomorrow’s dental health into account.
The products for long-term successful dental care are dental floss and special brushes, interdental brushes. They make it possible to clean larger spaces between your teeth, braces, bridges and fillings more thoroughly. Dental floss is suitable for the narrow spaces and for cleaning the contact points between the teeth.
This is the best way to care for the spaces between your teeth:
Start your oral hygiene by using interdental brushes to remove larger food particles from the wider spaces between your teeth. These are available in a variety of strengths. Then use dental floss. Work systematically so that you don’t miss any gaps. Then brush your teeth thoroughly, preferably with a soft toothbrush and a fluoride-containing remineralizing toothpaste. A systematic approach helps here too: start with the difficult areas first, e.g. the inner surfaces of the teeth at the top, then the inner surfaces of the teeth at the bottom, then the outer surfaces, side surfaces, and chewing surfaces.
Favoured by dentists: the Bass technique
The so-called Bass technique is the brushing technique favoured by most dentists. I fully agree with this opinion: place the toothbrush at an angle of around 45 to 60 degrees against your gums and teeth. Press the bristles lightly against your teeth and gums and make small, slightly circular or shaking movements. This will remove plaque gently and thoroughly. Depending on the section of your teeth, you should repeat these movements at least ten times. You can also use the bass technique with a sonic toothbrush, but this is far more effective than with a manual toothbrush. You can find a sonic toothbrush of the latest technical generation with 42,000 vibrations per minute in my shop. The SNOW PEARL Ultrasoft sonic toothbrush creates small pressure waves that foam toothpaste and liquid into the narrowest gaps between your teeth. The very soft KONEX HD Super-Soft bristles are eight times finer at the tip than conventional bristles. Nevertheless, they are strong enough to penetrate into narrow gaps. They clean there thoroughly without damaging the gums. With the coordinated SNOW PEARL products, you are perfectly equipped for optimal dental care and dental aesthetics. It is an investment in the future of your teeth. It’s simply nice to grow old with your own teeth. With this goal in mind, the daily effort of dental care, including cleaning between the teeth, should be worthwhile. It has been shown that learning the correct tooth brushing technique should ideally begin in childhood. This makes the actions an integral part of the daily cleaning ritual – tools for life. Show your children how to brush properly!
